Filter Adapter replaces old filter and directs the fuel to and from the remote filter through
the fuel transfer hoses. Adapter spins on to the old filter stud, and relocates the same spin-on
filter to the remote filter head. Does not require you to tap into any fuel lines. You can also
upgrade your filter options by requesting a remote filter head with threads that will meet your
requirements.
Remote Filter Head incorporates a check valve to ensure prime is maintained during
filter changes. This valve secures fuel prime when the filter is removed by preventing air from
being admitted to the fuel system. This will reduce the instance of hard engine starts after
filter changes. Extensive testing has shown that the check valve does not restrict fuel flow
through the system.
The filter head adapter is inverted to allow the hoses to be routed directly down into the head
which reduces the hose length necessary to relocate the filter.
Diagnostic Test Ports in the remote filter head allows for quick testing of fuel lift pump
pressure, and accepts direct mounting of fuel
restriction indicator to monitor fuel flow restriction through the filter. This is very important for proper maintenence of your motor vehicle.
Mounting Bracket An "L" bracket mounts on a specific hole pattern already present on the
vehicle. It’s equipped with several different bolt patterns to increase your relocation options.
Fuel Transfer Hoses come in 4' lengths, with one end with no fitting. Once a relocation
spot is determined, measure the hose to length, and cut it. A reusable-end fitting is included
with your kit to cap off the open hose end. The 45o fittings allow for easier routing of hoses.
