The Fuel Restriction Indicator is located on the pressure side of the fuel system.
The indicator mounts directly to the filter head and measures PSID (differential pressure
between inlet and outlet ports of remote filter head). The line where green and red meet,
indicates a "clogged" or dirty filter.
Benefits
Ensure Maximum Horsepower! (More Fuel = More Power) In the age of "more power" it is becoming
more and more important to ensure maximum fuel flow. The gauge will indicate your fuel flow
restriction through the filter, and thus enable you to make necessary changes to maintain
maximum horsepower.
Help Save Your Fuel Pump! Today's fuel pumps have become less tolerable of water and dirt;
which means it is becoming increasingly important to monitor the filter performance to help
ensure a long lasting fuel pump.
Quick Fleet Inspection! (For larger fleets of vehicles.) By making "Fuel Restriction Level"
part of a routine maintenance checklist, the entire fleet can be checked in a matter of
minutes. Many of the larger fleets around the country are converting to the "Prime-Loc"
system with indicator to save tremendous maintenance time and money!
